Current State of WWE: Is The Rock Finally Coming Back? What is Next For the United States Championship?
This week on the “Current State of WWE” Anthony Di Marco and I discuss the now real possibility of The Rock finally getting injected into The Bloodline story and what is next for the United States Title.
I can see some of the appeal of LA Knight despite definitely not loving him the way others do. However I think his recent promo saying he is going to win the US invitational was actually a bit sloppy. I think it would be a mistake to put the top belt on him considering age and his lack of experience at the top. Roman was awesome until he was pushed and we discovered his weaknesses doing effective promos. Just a thought
I appreciate your optimism about a potential Rock return, but I would like to point out one thing: Dwayne Johnson has demonstrated his willingness to go against what the company and what the fans want by not reuniting with Vin Diesel for Fast and the Furious in a widely publicized feud over a couple of comments. I don’t think that he has some particular grievance with WWE or Roman (they have even done a movie together) but I do think the fact that he doesn’t need WWE and can go with his whims, it is one more potential point AGAINST him returning despite many feeling like he owes it to the fans.
Sorry in advance for the long message!
